Belfast Adult Education (BAE) is offering free Money Matters training this spring. Money Matters teaches the basics of financial literacy, helping participants better understand how to successfully manage their daily finances. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 4 to 6 p.m. from March 20 to April 10, at BAE Learning Center, 6B Lions Way in Belfast. To register, call BAE at 338-3197.

Created by Belfast Adult Education in partnership with Bank of America and Bangor Savings Bank, Money Matters teaches participants how to create a budget, set up a checking and savings account, how to protect themselves against fraud, manage credit and debit cards, develop a savings plan, make smart investments, structure debt, and how to understand credit scores, mortgages and loans.
