Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta will open a new season of “Talking Art in Maine,” hosted by Newcastle artist Jane Dahmen, on Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m. with guest Alan Bray. Bray paints in casein, a milk-based paint whose nature requires that images be built up in layers of thousands of tiny brushstrokes.

The series will continue on April 12 with guest Tom Hall; May 17 with Anne and Frank Goodyear, co-directors of Bowdoin College Museum of Art; and June 1 with Kazumi Hoshino and Jesse Salisbury. All of the conversations are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.lcct.org or call 563-3424.
