Midcoast Conservancy will offer a free Fat Bike Camp, for riders age 9 to 14 who want to expand their skills in a mountain biking environment, on the grounds of the Wiscasset Recreation Center, 242 Gardiner Road, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 27 and 28, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. The camp will be led by coaches from Outdoor Sport Institute. Fat tire bikes and helmets will be provided in a variety of sizes for use during the camp; bring a full water bottle, snack, sunscreen, an extra warm layer, like a rain jacket or fleece, and close-toed shoes that fit properly and can get dirty.
