On the Washington, D.C. subway: Judy, at left, an audiologist, and Robin, at right, a bookkeeper and office manager, both from St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, on their way to the women's march on on Saturday, January 21. Both women are in their 60s. They came to Washington specifically for the Women's March. Neither had ever been involved in any kind of political activism before. Judy said her main concern was the fascist tone set by Trump and his calls for exclusion, such is registering Muslims. Both women noted that the majority African and West Indian population of Saint Croix are "horrified and afraid" by the tone set by the Trump administration.
