The Fresh Air Fund invites families in southern Maine to consider signing up to host children from New York City this summer. The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free out-of-the-city summer experiences to more than 1.8 million New York children from low-income communities since 1877.

Each summer, through The Fresh Air Fund’s Friendly Towns Program, thousands of children age 7 to 18 from New York City’s low-income communities visit suburban, rural and small-town communities along the U.S. East Coast and southern Canada.
