| Evergreen Home Performance is working on a Rockland home that has qualified for a $1,500 incentive from Efficiency Maine. |
| $9 Million Energy Efficiency Stimulus Funding for Homeowners and Landlords Information sessions about Efficiency Maine incentives of up to $3,000 for homeowners at all income levels and $12,000 for landlords to undertake energy-efficiency upgrades have been scheduled in Rockland on Friday, February 19, at 7 p.m. at Rockland City Council Chambers; in Belfast on Wednesday, February 24, at 7 p.m. at the UM Hutchinson Center; and in Camden on Thursday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Camden Public Library.
Rental units, second homes and vacation homes that are heated throughout the winter may also qualify for the funds.
Efficiency Maine representatives will describe the new program and answer questions at the sessions. Evergreen Home Performance LLC, a local efficiency contractor, will be on hand to present case studies of area homes that have had qualifying retrofits, achieving 25- to 50-percent savings on heating.
